Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy, precision, and a proactive approach. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, ensuring optimal functionality and safety across all facilities. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to schedule, track, and optimize maintenance activities efficiently.
- Supervise troubleshooting efforts using engineering principles, schematics, Ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs from planning through execution while adhering to safety protocols and budget constraints.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, safety audits, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with management on facilities management strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems (including high voltage/low voltage), HVAC units, plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment to prevent failures before they occur.
- Train team members on maintenance repair procedures, safety regulations, schematics interpretation, and proper use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
Skills
- Proven management skills with experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in industrial or commercial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage/low voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies for planning and executing complex maintenance projects efficiently.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.
- Deep understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA standards to ensure workplace safety at all times.
- Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues; experience with engineering troubleshooting is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools including Ohmmeters for electrical testing; experience with schematics interpretation is essential.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
