The Bloomfield Central School District is seeking a dynamic Elementary Special Education Teacher to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment tailored to the academic, social, and emotional needs of our young learners. The ideal candidate will deliver research-based instruction, positive behavioral supports, and individualized services consistent with best practices in special education.
Provide specially designed instruction to individual students and groups with a wide range of learning needs and talents.
Develop, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students' intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Implement foundational academic interventions, specialized techniques, and instructional technology.
Maintain a structured, safe, and organized classroom environment that minimizes downtime and supports diverse sensory and behavioral needs.
Assess student progress, collect IEP goal data, and prepare regular progress reports.
Collaborate with general education co-teachers, related service providers (SLP, OT, PT), and support staff to ensure proper accommodations and modifications.
Participate actively in CSE meetings, grade-level teams, and Professional Learning Communities to align instruction and share best practices.
Maintain open, proactive communication with parents and guardians regarding student growth and IEP updates.
Engage in ongoing professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.
