The Opportunity: We are seeking to hire an Expressive Arts Administrator. Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager, the Expressive Arts Administrator provides individual and group art therapy services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The Expressive Arts Administrator integrates evidence-based art therapy interventions into Intensive Treatment Services programming, including Art Therapy, Day Treatment, and substance use disorder/intensive outpatient programs. This position also leads the planning and coordination of the agency’s annual Art of Recovery event in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Development.
What You’ll Do:

Develop and facilitate therapeutic groups that integrate art therapy interventions and address the clinical needs, treatment goals, and levels of care of individuals participating in Intensive Treatment Services.

Provide individual counseling and art therapy services to assigned clients within the employee’s credentials, scope of practice, and demonstrated competencies.

Complete assessments of prospective participants to determine their appropriateness for Art Therapy programming and identify other applicable treatment options based on assessed needs and level of care.

Complete timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation, including progress notes, assessments, and treatment plans, in accordance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable billing standards.
- Participate in treatment planning and regularly reviews and updates clients’ goals, objectives, interventions, and progress

Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate services and support continuity of care.

Provide supervision and guidance to art therapy interns and, as assigned, other art, music, or recreational therapy staff.

Manage the Art Therapy Program’s supplies, including maintaining inventory, identifying program needs, and ordering materials within the approved budget.

Maintain a safe, organized, and therapeutic environment for individual and group services.

Procure, present, and maintain submitted artwork for the agency’s annual Art of Recovery event.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Development on the planning and execution of the agency's annual Art of Recovery.

Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- An example of an acceptable qualification is: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Art Therapy, other closely related field, and three to five years of experience working with persons with severe and persistent mental illness.

Current State motor vehicle operator’s license.

Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) preferred.
