Inventory Lot Agent / Sales Assistant / Receptionist
R&D Motors is seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused team member to join our dealership. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, can multitask effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This role combines front office responsibilities, customer service, sales support, and inventory management. No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and promptly. This is one of the most important responsibilities of the position, as every phone call is a potential customer or existing client needing assistance.
- Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist sales consultants with customer needs, vehicle information, and sales-related tasks.
- Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the dealership lot.
- Monitor inventory and document vehicles that require cleaning, detailing, repairs, or preparation to become showroom-ready.
- Assist with photographing vehicles and posting inventory to online sales platforms.
- Help coordinate vehicle movement and preparation for customer appointments.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and difficult situations professionally and respectfully.
- Perform general receptionist and administrative duties as assigned.
- Assist other departments as needed to help ensure daily operations run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Comfortable working with a wide variety of customers, including those who may be frustrated or upset.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying Texas weather conditions while organizing inventory and maintaining the dealership lot.
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay productive during downtime without constant supervision.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership software.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Experience not required, will train the right candidate.
