ABOUT THE ROLE
Nanny & Me USA is seeking a dedicated, experienced Live-In Nanny on behalf of a private family residing in Boston’s prestigious Seaport District. This is a full-time, 24-hour live-in position that includes a private room and board in a luxury downtown residence. The ideal candidate is nurturing, professional, and deeply familiar with South Asian cultural traditions, values, and family dynamics — including vegetarian meal preparation and multilingual communication.
POSITION DETAILS
- Location: Downtown Boston — Seaport District, MA
- Job Type: Full-Time, Live-In (24-Hour Availability Required)
- Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience + private room and board included
- Start Date: Immediate / Negotiable
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide attentive, around-the-clock childcare
- Prepare nutritious South Asian / vegetarian meals aligned with family’s dietary and cultural preferences
- Maintain a safe, structured daily routine for the child(ren)
- Assist with age-appropriate learning activities and developmental milestones
- Perform light housekeeping related to childcare (laundry, tidying play areas)
- Accompany family on travel and outings as needed
- Communicate daily with parents regarding the child’s wellbeing and needs
- Respect and uphold the family’s cultural, religious, and dietary practices
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional nanny or childcare experience (live-in preferred)
- Fluency in Hindi or another South Asian language strongly preferred
- Deep familiarity with South Asian cultural customs and vegetarian cooking
- CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain before start date)
- 2–3 verifiable professional childcare references required
- Must pass a comprehensive background check (criminal, driving, sex offender registry)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Non-smoker; must be comfortable in a pet-friendly environment
- Comfortable with a 24-hour live-in arrangement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with South Asian families in a private household
- Ability to prepare traditional Indian dishes (dal, rice, roti, khichdi)
- Experience with infants, toddlers, or newborns
- Early childhood education background or certifications
- Bilingual/multilingual — Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, or other South Asian languages
