Position Summary
The Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain function, including procurement, demand planning, inventory management, production planning, logistics, warehousing, and supplier management. This role develops and executes supply chain strategies that support operational excellence, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth. The Supply Chain Director collaborates closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless flow of materials and finished goods throughout the manufacturing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and operational objectives.
- Lead all supply chain functions, including sourcing, procurement, demand planning, inventory management, production planning, warehousing, and logistics.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives to balance customer service levels and working capital objectives.
- Oversee demand forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to ensure alignment between customer demand and production capacity.
- Monitor and improve key supply chain performance metrics, including inventory turnover, on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, and supplier performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the supply chain.
- Lead supply chain risk management initiatives, including contingency planning and supplier diversification strategies.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, finance, sales, quality, and engineering teams to support business objectives.
- Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Manage transportation, distribution, and warehousing operations to optimize cost and service performance.
- Utilize ERP and supply chain planning systems to improve visibility, reporting, and decision-making.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or related field) preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing supply chain teams and operations.
- Proven experience overseeing procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier management.
- Experience leading S&OP and demand planning processes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.

- Global sourcing and international logistics experience.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
