Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service.
- Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives to maintain a motivated and skilled team.
- Manage shift operations by coordinating staff schedules, supervising food preparation and service, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste while maximizing profitability.
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff alike.
- Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, POS system operation (Aloha POS and Micros POS), and reconciliation at shift end.
- Support hiring efforts by interviewing candidates, conducting onboarding sessions, and fostering a positive team culture aligned with hospitality standards.
- Assist in budgeting activities, cost control measures, and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with kitchen management on food production standards, culinary quality, and menu execution to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous assistant manager or supervisory roles; experience managing teams in hospitality settings.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures, food safety standards (including HACCP), and food handling regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hospitality management background with experience in fine dining or banquet settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes, cost control strategies, and overall food industry operations.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service combined with strong organizational abilities is essential.
