Job Summary:
Garden Gate Day Spa & Salon, located in Los Lunas, NM, is actively hiring licensed massage therapists to provide direct services to an established clientele base. Therapists are scheduled for one hour to two sessions, specializing in Swedish, Deep Tissue and Hot Stones massage. Therapists are paid on an hourly basis + commission/tips
Spa Therapist Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages) in a safe and comfortable manner
- Develop personalized treatment plans for individual clients that specify massage types, treatment areas and treatment frequency.
- Propose treatment plans to clients and implement them only after client acceptance and agreement.
- Refer clients to other professionals and therapists when appropriate and necessary to treat additional symptoms.
- Maintain equipment and products
- Keep legible documentation in an organized client file
- Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries, needs and expectations
- Suggest and promote retail products or additional services
- Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations including those under the COVID guidelines of the CDC and/or Department of Health
- Cooperate with and report to administration on any arising issues
- Apply best practices and be up to date with market trends
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist
- Hands on experience in massage techniques face/body therapies
- Experience in sales will be considered an asset
- Communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Hold current state massage therapy license
- Adhere to all current regulations and laws related to massage therapy
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality
- Ability to pass a background check
- Obtain professional liability insurance
