Golden Years ADHC is seeking compassionate Life Enrichment Specialists to deliver hands-on care and engagement for adult day healthcare participants in communities across Kentucky.
Caregiver preference: Female caregiver requested.
Smoking: Vaping occurs in the home.
Pets: No animals in the home.
Errands/travel: Caregiver may need to complete errands as needed and carry groceries into the home.
Home condition: Varies between clean, cluttered, and messy.
Infestations: No significant infestations reported; ants may be present near the front door.
Other household member: Client’s mother also resides in the home.
Mobility: Client uses a lift chair and walker and generally tries to limit movement around the home.
The client would likely work best with an upbeat, friendly caregiver who has a sense of humor and is not overly directive. A caregiver should be comfortable engaging around the client’s interests, including music, instruments, golf, gaming, and television.The client is not a good match for someone perceived as bossy, mean, or overly controlling.
Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and dishes.
Running errands and bringing groceries into the home.
Personal care support, including no-rinse shampoo.
Assistance with showering and dressing as needed.
Mobility-related support as appropriate, given the client’s limited movement and use of a walker/lift chair.
All responsibilities and hiring criteria meet Kentucky Medicaid standards for adult day health (attendant care) caregiver roles—including personal care, transfer assistance, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and provision of respite care services across the Commonwealth.
