<Job Summary>
Join Flip Flop Shops Kauai as a Seasonal Retail Sales Associate and be the vibrant face of our shop in Koloa! In this energetic role, you will engage with our guests, assist with product selection, and create a welcoming and memorable shopping experience. Your enthusiasm and customer-focused attitude will drive sales and ensure shoppers leave satisfied. <Responsibilities>
- Customer Experience: Promptly greet all customers warmly, provide product information, and offer recommendations to meet their needs.
- Sales & Transactions: Process purchases, returns, and exchanges quickly and accurately using the POS system.
- Teamwork: Possess a proven track record of being a reliable team player who can follow directions, is dependable, and will support store goals.
- Merchandising & Inventory: Restock shelves, straighten merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting.
- Product Knowledge: Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of our footwear brands, technologies (like arch support or cushioning), and current fashion trends to provide informed recommendations.
- Operational Support: Support daily opening and closing procedures.
<Qualifications>
- Possess excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and ability to engage with customers confidently.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while efficiently multi-tasking.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems, credit card processing, cash handling, and basic retail math for accurate transactions.
- Previous retail experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours), walk, and lift moderate weight of approximately 25 lbs.
