Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)/ Peer support to provide comprehensive support and care for individuals with diverse behavioral health needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to live on-site, offering around-the-clock assistance to promote safety, stability, and positive growth. As a Live-In BHT, you will be an essential part of a dynamic team committed to empowering individuals with mental health illness, developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction challenges, and other behavioral health conditions. Duties
- Provide direct patient care by monitoring behavioral health status and responding promptly to crises or emergencies
- Assist with daily living activities, including medication administration and vital signs monitoring in accordance with medical protocols
- Implement behavior management plans and applied behavior analysis techniques to support positive behavioral changes
- Document medical records, and maintain accurate data collection for ongoing treatment planning
- Support clients during crisis interventions, utilizing de-escalation strategies and crisis management skills
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment plans, progress reports, and medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Engage in social work practices by fostering trust, encouraging communication, and supporting emotional well-being
Skills
- Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions
- Strong crisis intervention and crisis management skills to handle unpredictable situations effectively
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and addiction counseling methods
- Ability to perform detailed medical documentation, data collection, and maintain confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively within a team and engaging with clients with empathy
- Familiarity with social work principles, patient care practices, and behavioral health strategies to support holistic treatment approaches.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $2,800.00 per month
