The YMCA is seeking a passionate, engaging, and nurturing Early Childhood Music Instructor to join our team. This role is focused on fostering a love of music and movement in children ages infant to 4 years old while creating meaningful opportunities for parent-child connection in a supportive and joyful environment. Responsibilities include planning and leading age-appropriate parent/child music classes that incorporate singing, rhythm, movement, and interactive play. The instructor will introduce foundational music concepts through fun and developmentally appropriate activities, model engagement for caregivers, and encourage bonding, participation, and early childhood development in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and families, a basic understanding of early childhood development, and a strong comfort level leading music-based activities. Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to actively engage both children and caregivers are key to success in this role. The Early Childhood Music Instructor will support the mission of the YMCA by modeling and teaching the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Instructs classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes youth development and member engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Ideal candidate will have the ability to coach multiple sports throughout the year!
