Job Summary
We have a job opening for a dental assistant to join our private orthodontic practice in beautiful Rancho Santa Fe! We offer a work environment where our employees are truly appreciated for their professionalism, friendliness, and dependability.
Experience in an orthodontic or dental office is preferred, but not required if you are a fast learner. We are willing to train the right person!
Responsibilities include:
Clinical:
- Greeting and seating patients for treatment
- Sterilizing instruments and disinfecting operatories
- Intraoral scanning
- Taking x-rays and photographs
- Tying and untying archwires
- Chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure instructions
Ideal candidate:
- Friendly, warm, and professional
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Willing to learn both clinical and light front-office duties
- Able to multitask in a busy orthodontic setting
- Dental assisting training preferred, but not required
The position starts at 3 days/week with opportunity for more days if desired. Salary commensurate with experience.
