Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks like catheter care, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Ensure patient safety through proper manual handling practices, safe lifting techniques, and the use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
- Document patient information meticulously in medical records while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs.
- Assist with medication administration under supervision and ensuring correct dosages.
Requirements
- Experience working with diverse populations such as seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, and those requiring memory or hospice care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques; physical stamina for long shifts involving manual handling tasks.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to foster trust and understanding with patients and team members.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices and patient confidentiality protocols in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
