Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Manager will work independently and have primary responsibility for the supervision of mid-level and administrative support staff. The Supervisor will be responsible for the operational, human resource, administrative and business functions of the Pulmonary Practices, Lung health, and Sleep Disorders and Sleep labs. The supervisor must have the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and work well with staff, patients and providers. A high degree of independence, initiative, assertiveness, and diplomacy are necessary in dealing with faculty, staff and patients in a complex environment. The Supervisor will manage the mid-level and administrative support staff, including MA and PC staff from Adult Sleep lab, Ped Sleep Lab, Sleep Disorders Center, Pulmonary Department and MZ, Pulmonary Fellows Program, Pulmonary Rehab and Pulmonary Function lab at MZ, as well as support Providers with these departments. The Supervisor will also act as the analyst to the Manager.
Department Overview
UCSF Pulmonary Division includes the Pulmonary, ILD and Sleep clinics, which are high-volume clinics serving the adult population for a variety of pulmonary and sleep disorder conditions. Our services include office visits, RN triage, airway clearance teaching, as well as other procedures such as sleep tests, pulmonary rehab, pulmonary functions, injections, sputum Induction and Pentamidine.
