Big Moose Construction is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled construction professional to join our team.
We build kitchens, bathrooms, custom renovations, patios, outdoor living spaces, and excavation projects throughout the Columbus area. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, wants steady full-time employment, and is interested in growing into a leadership role as the company expands.
This is not a temporary labor position. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a career with a growing company and take ownership of their work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Demolition and site preparation
- Framing and structural carpentry
- Finish carpentry and installation work
- Kitchen and bathroom remodeling
- Patio, outdoor living, and outdoor kitchen construction
- Excavation and site work support
- Working directly with ownership on a wide variety of residential projects
No two weeks look exactly the same. One week may be a kitchen remodel, the next an outdoor living project or excavation job. If you enjoy variety and solving problems, you’ll fit in well here.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of residential construction experience
- Strong carpentry and general construction skills
- Ability to read plans and think ahead
- Pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Professional attitude with homeowners and team members
- Ability to work independently when needed
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Bonus if you have experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other compact equipment.
We’re not looking for someone who needs to be constantly managed. We want someone who shows up, communicates well, takes ownership of their work, and helps move projects forward.

- Must be eligible to work as a W-2 employee
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physical construction work
- Consistent work history
- Ability to pass a background check
