【ESSENTIAL FUNCTION】(MAIN JOB DUTIES)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, leadership-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the overall operations of assigned shifts. You will focus on either front-of-house guest service or back-of-house quality management – we are hiring 2 supervisors to complement each other's expertise. You will ensure your area of responsibility meets the highest standards during every shift. This position is the Store Manager's key partner and reports directly to the Store Manager. Both part-time and full-time applicants are welcome.
Shift Operations Management
●Lead opening and closing procedures for assigned shifts to ensure smooth daily operations
●Supervise daily operations in your assigned area (FOH or BOH) to ensure efficient workflow
●Monitor and ensure guest service quality, food quality, and speed of service meet company standards
●Address guest feedback and complaints promptly to ensure an exceptional dining experience
●Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health, safety, and labor regulations
Food Safety & Sanitation
●Enforce HACCP food safety protocols; ensure proper labeling, storage, and temperature control
●Maintain cleanliness and organization in both FOH and BOH areas for a safe environment
●Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to ensure ingredient freshness
Team Leadership & Training
●Provide on-the-job training and coaching to shift team members to improve performance
●Assist Store Manager in scheduling, performance evaluations, and team motivation
●Be a role model in demonstrating company culture, mission, and values
Administrative & Financial Support
●Assist Store Manager with inventory counts, ordering, and vendor management
●Monitor shift sales data and labor costs to help achieve KPI targets
【REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES】(JOB REQUIREMENTS)
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods, walk, reach high, bend, and squat
1+ year of restaurant experience (FOH or BOH experience accepted)
Basic leadership and communication skills; able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
Bilingual (English/Chinese/Japanese) communication skills preferred, but not required.
【PRIOR EXPERIENCE】
Experience with Japanese cuisine or healthy dining brands (e.g. CAVA, Panda Express) preferred.
Familiarity with Japanese culinary philosophy (fresh ingredients, light seasoning, build-your-own bowl/salad concept) preferred.
Experience in fast-casual dining is preferred.
Inventory management, cost control, or team training experience preferred.
【LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT】
ServSafe Manager certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
