Valiant Punta Gorda, Addiction Treatment Center is a small Christian Based company in Punta Gorda, FL.
We're looking to hire a group counselor with a background in addiction and Mental health to work with our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience working with clients who have substance abuse issues. This position will require some one-on-one sessions with clients, as well as group counseling sessions. An ideal candidate will be able to effectively assist individual and group clients with their substance abuse issues, and help them live healthy, drug-free lives that are free of addiction. Part and full time position available.
Shifts: 2-10pm
Qualified individuals must have a minimum of one of the following credentials to be state qualified for this position.
- BA or higher in RELATED field,
- CAC / MCAP
- Certified with the Florida Certification Board (Behavioral Health) ie: certified peer support specialist.
- LPN / RN
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, family and aftercare counseling.
- Complete daily required paperwork for each client in EMR system.
- Assist with Client Assessments, treatment plans, etc.
- Communicates and works effectively with other team members
- Understand and comply with DCF / Joint commission requirements
- Understands and adheres to company policies and procedures
- Assist w/ client needs including medications, and some light meal prep.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
