Overview
The Regional Laundry Chief Engineer is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of laundry facilities across multiple locations within the region. This position demands a proactive approach to managing mechanical, electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and industrial systems to ensure seamless laundry operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, and a passion for maintaining high safety standards. As a key leader, you will coordinate facilities maintenance teams, implement preventative maintenance procedures, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to optimize performance and reliability across all regional laundry sites.
Duties
- Lead and supervise regional facilities maintenance teams to execute routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades of laundry machinery and supporting systems.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with industry standards and safety regulations such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
- Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems, HVAC units, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and manufacturing equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Manage facilities management software (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, inventory levels, and equipment history for optimal operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training staff on proper procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or system replacements utilizing project management principles to meet deadlines within budget constraints.
- Monitor industrial maintenance activities to minimize downtime while maximizing equipment lifespan through preventive maintenance strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety incidents for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or engineering teams within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing mechanical systems such as HVAC units, plumbing systems, electrical panels (including high voltage), and manufacturing machinery.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, electrical troubleshooting using ohmmeters, and HVAC system repair techniques.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards along with experience implementing safety protocols in industrial settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
- Experience managing facilities maintenance management systems (CMMS) to streamline work order processing and asset tracking.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics related to electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing infrastructure, and mechanical equipment.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
