Fork Lift Operator and Lead Pumpkin Stocker
Job Description
- 4-6 week position from September 15th-November 5th
Avila Valley Barn is now taking applications for a pumpkin patch forklift operator. This is a great opportunity to spend fall at our pumpkin patch. We are looking for someone with forklift and supervisory experience.
This position can be full time or part time working 4 - 8 hour shifts between the hours of 5:00am-2:00pm. Must be available to work every weekend and most weekdays. Due to the high volume nature of the season, blackout dates will be enforced during this time. For the right applicant we can shorten work times to allow for a secondary job. This is a great opportunity for someone to work early mornings for some extra income before heading off to their other job.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to lift roughly 50lbs or less repeatedly
- Must be physically able and enjoy being on your feet
- Must have reliable transportation
- Drivers License and clean driving record
- Forklift Experience and comfortable driving large trucks
- Outgoing positive attitude and self driven
- Friendly personality with a willingness to help customers and employees
- Must have regular and timely attendance to scheduled shifts
Job Duties:
- In charge of maintaining front pumpkin display
- Forklifting pumpkins on and off flatbed trucks to be transported to display area for stocking
- Ensuring pumpkins are stocked in correct locations with proper labeling
- Enforcing safety standards
- Help guide pumpkin stockers with daily tasks and changing varieties
- Sorting pumpkins to ensure quality for customers
- Keeping the grounds clean around the pumpkins
- First week of November, breaking down displays and cleaning up post fall.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
