Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-Ray Technician to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in evaluating and diagnosing patient conditions. Your expertise in various imaging modalities, patient care, and radiation safety procedures will ensure accurate results while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient interaction. Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and radiologic imaging equipment, including CT, mammography, DEXA scans, fluoroscopy, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiography procedures.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
- Follow strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure during all imaging procedures.
- Assist with emergency room imaging needs, Level I and Level II trauma center procedures, and urgent care cases requiring rapid diagnostic evaluation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to perform diagnostic radiology assessments, including physiology-based imaging and diagnostic evaluations of various anatomical regions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed, equipment calibration records, and patient information while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Ensure all medical imaging equipment is operated correctly, maintained properly, and calibrated regularly for optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, mammography units, DEXA scanners, fluoroscopy units, PET scan systems, and nuclear medicine devices.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles essential for accurate image acquisition and interpretation support.
- Prior experience working in urgent care settings or emergency room environments is highly desirable; experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus.
- Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols diligently during all procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication and aseptic technique when necessary.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) required; additional certifications in sonography or interventional radiography are advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical equipment operation including radiology-specific hardware and software systems used for diagnostic imaging.

- Minimum 1 year of X-ray Tech experience is needed
- NJ State RT License
- ARRT
- BLS Certified

Schedule: 10a-6p Monday-Friday including every other weekend
