Job Summary
The Technician ensures the building, grounds, and all associated equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The role involves performing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and executing repairs to ensure uninterrupted operation. Assist in the maintenance and repair of the entire facility in Columbus and Groveport including machinery, equipment, buildings, and systems, under the supervision of the President.
Duties
- Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance and service for each piece of equipment, machinery, buildings, and systems
- Repair or replace faulty components including motors, sensors, switches, valves, and wiring in accordance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools such as welders (including welding), scissor lifts, and industrial lifts to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Complete written records to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks efficiently.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting electrical diagnostics and engineering troubleshooting.
- Assist with the installation of new machinery or infrastructure upgrades following engineering specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, parts inventory, and compliance documentation to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
- Hands-on knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical blueprint interpretation.
- Skilled in hydraulics, pneumatics troubleshooting, welding (including welding), HVAC/R systems, and mechanical repair techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial electrician practices including low voltage/high voltage systems; ability to use ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools effectively.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex equipment issues quickly and accurately.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; valid certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
- Knowledge of industrial mechanics combined with engineering troubleshooting capabilities enhances problem-solving efficiency.
The work hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday with some overtime work required.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
