Asphalt Milling Machine Operator
Location: Harrison, OH (Onsite/ travel)
Pay: $25-$30/hr
Responsibilities:

Operate asphalt milling machines to remove pavement to specified depth, grade, and project requirements.

Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and complete equipment logs to ensure safe operation.

Coordinate with the foreman and ground crew to maintain efficient milling operations and material removal.

Monitor milling performance, grade controls, and machine settings while maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel, traffic, and utilities.

Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, assist with minor equipment repairs, and support other job site activities as needed.
Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating milling machines or other heavy construction equipment.

Familiarity with grade control systems, machine adjustments, and the ability to read grade stakes, plans, and work orders.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and occasional overnight travel based on project needs.

Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including frequent standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating heavy equipment.

Must be at least 18 years of age and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
