ARG Electric LLC is looking for an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong experience estimating electrical projects in the United States, especially commercial and construction projects.
The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings, perform accurate takeoffs, prepare material and labor estimates, review project scopes, and assist with bids, change orders, and project cost analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Review electrical plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial electrical projects.
- Prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project costs.
- Analyze project scope, plans, and specifications to identify potential risks, exclusions, and clarifications.
- Request and review vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Prepare bid proposals, scope sheets, and estimate summaries.
- Assist with change order pricing and project cost tracking when needed.
- Communicate professionally with general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal team members.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates align with project requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain organized estimate files, bid documents, and supporting information.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience estimating commercial electrical projects in the United States.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction, materials, labor units, and project scopes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience with commercial projects such as retail spaces, offices, restaurants, warehouses, tenant build-outs, and similar projects.
- Knowledge of NEC standards and general electrical construction practices.
- Strong computer skills and experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software is preferred.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to meet bid deadlines.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with general contractors and construction bid processes is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working for an electrical contractor.
- Experience estimating projects in Florida or the Tampa Bay area.
- Ability to prepare professional bid proposals and scope clarifications.
- Experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project coordination is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Commission
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
