About the Role
At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, every role contributes to creating a positive experience for patients and families during some of the most important moments of their lives. As a Clinical Center Associate, you will be a key part of the care team, helping keep daily operations running smoothly while providing a warm and welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff. The starting annual salary for this position is $47,695 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent service will help ensure patients receive the support they need from the moment they arrive.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll provide essential administrative and patient support for an inpatient or outpatient care center, including:
Greeting and assisting patients, visitors, and families with professionalism and compassion
Answering phones, responding to routine questions, and directing calls appropriately
Coordinating and maintaining clinic schedules to support efficient patient care
Recording and transcribing physician orders accurately
Assisting with patient check-in and the co-pay collection process
Maintaining accurate records and supporting day-to-day clerical activities
Protecting patient privacy and handling confidential information with care
Collaborating with providers and team members to support smooth clinic operations
Contributing to a positive, patient-focused environment every day

Required Education and Experience
1. Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have prior experience scheduling in a Radiology setting, preferably with exposure to complex scheduling
