American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a day shift cardiovascular OR position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year of recent CVOR specialty experience and an active AL or Compact RN license.

Work setting is a hospital Main OR/CVOR environment in Tuscaloosa, AL

Cardiovascular surgical patient population requiring circulator RN skills

Circulating in the OR is required

Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), 40 hours per week
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage required as assigned

Floating to other units and hospital locations is required

EMR system is Meditech (experience not required)

Active AL or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
-
No hits (past or current) on nursing license(s) allowed

Certifications required: AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS

NURSYS verification required

Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent CVOR/cardiovascular OR specialty experience

Must be able to circulate in the OR

Required documents for consideration: current state or compact RN license, driver's license, skills checklist, and two professional references from within the last year

Plans, coordinates, and delivers quality patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards while building therapeutic relationships with patients and families

Provides leadership by delegating and articulating care standards, and supervises LPNs, PCAs, unit secretaries, ortho techs, and other non-licensed staff

Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules — no pre-start HealthStream modules required

Scrub color requirement: solid navy
