American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level II Trauma Center in Reno, NV, requiring active NV licensure and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience.

Sierra Med/Tele unit (Sierra 1) at a Level II Trauma Center serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
-
3x12-hour day shifts per week
-
Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
-
No on-call requirements outside of scheduled shifts

Floating to other units/departments required up to competency level
-
Epic EMR used for charting — training provided during orientation or candidates may test out

Kronos used for timekeeping

13-week contract
-
Active NV RN license required prior to start — RNs who have never held a NV temp or permanent license may still apply but must apply immediately upon offer

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued only)

Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required

Provides comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients and their families/caregivers

Coordinates care across multidisciplinary teams as needed

One additional shift pick-up required per schedule period

Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the contract

Blocked scheduling is not permitted

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have a 13-week break after their last contract end date before returning
-
RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration — time off will not be added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
