Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have experience in route driving, heavy lifting, and operating commercial vehicles.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including manual transmission trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience with route driving and familiarity with local areas is advantageous.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
