Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced brick and stone mason.
Duties
- Adapt to Historic Masonry Restoration techniques and standards.0
- Possible working supervisory/foreman duties after reasonable assessment period.
- Assist team members in various tasks related to historic projects.
- Learn and apply techniques in repointing, brick rebuilding and repair, stucco application, etc.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Read and interpret drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Proficiency with lime mortars, brick, all types of stone, and stucco.
- Participate in hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Must be open to learning traditional masonry techniques and rigid historic masonry specifications.
- Basic knowledge or experience with hand tools, power tools, masonry, repointing, stucco, hardscape, or is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while working as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning new skills.
We have several projects that require a variety of skillsets so we are open to train those that have less experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
