Job Summary

- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients for bakery items and other food products
- Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, fondant, or other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
- Package baked goods efficiently for retail display or catering orders while maintaining presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Support food production processes by ensuring ingredients are stocked, rotated, and stored properly
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed
- Helps with other prep in kitchen
Requirements
- Prior experience in baking, pastry arts, or food preparation is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with baking techniques such as mixing, kneading, proofing, and decorating
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
- Experience with cake decorating, packaging, or catering is a plus
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
