Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated PRN Licensed Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide flexible, high-quality clinical counseling and psychotherapy services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately document client conditions.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and treatment planning protocols to support client progress.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems following clinical documentation standards.
- Participate in ongoing clinical research and data collection efforts to support evidence-based practice improvements.
- Conduct mental health assessments for patients with complex needs such as PTSD, grief issues, addiction concerns, or chronic pain management.
- Provide specialized services including child & youth therapy, pediatric mental health care, Geriatrics counseling, gender issues counseling, and support for individuals with autism or disabilities.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and evidence-based practices.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and motivation for change.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, pediatrics, special education, and working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Skilled in crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to handle urgent situations effectively.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9 & ICD-10), medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical documentation standards.
- Experience delivering telehealth therapy services while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Ability to perform mental health assessments across diverse populations including Geriatrics and individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for children and individuals with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
- Competence in case management activities such as treatment planning, patient assessment, data collection, research participation, and client communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient or inpatient settings.
