Position Description
The Unit Clerk will maintain medical records on the units, schedule transports & assist the nursing staff with all clerical duties.
Duties and Responsibilities

Greet, direct, and assist visitors to resident rooms, office areas, etc., as necessary

Retrieve medical record information promptly upon request by authorized individuals

Record appropriate resident identification data in designated medical records

Keep nursing service personnel informed of resident scheduled appointments

Scan/File admission papers from sending facility and all diagnostic reports into the medical record

Scan/File all diagnostic reports into the medical record

Schedule resident follow-up appointments and arrange transportation for diagnostic and therapeutic services as needed
-
Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

Prior work with elders in a community or long-term care setting is preferred.

Must possess excellent computer skills.
