Position Summary:
The Patient Access Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering a high level of customer service while supporting front-end clinic operations. This role is responsible for managing patient intake, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and ensuring an efficient and welcoming patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and providers in a professional and patient-centered manner

Manage patient registration, check-in/check-out, and demographic updates

Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments across multiple providers and locations as needed

Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations when applicable, and collect required documentation

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the EMR system

Answer and triage high-volume inbound calls while providing timely resolution and follow-up

Support front-office workflow, including managing emails, task queues, and patient inquiries

Educate patients on forms, appointment expectations, and office procedures

Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support seamless patient flow

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in patient access, medical reception, customer service, hospitality, or administrative support preferred

Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred (EPIC experience a plus)

Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-touch patient environment

Proficiency with scheduling systems, insurance verification, and Microsoft Office

Available 9-6 pm EST Monday-Friday
