Overview:
As a Designer at Hayden Industrial, you will be responsible for responsible for creating 3D CAD models and piece part drawings using Inventor.
Key Responsibilities:

- The designer will need to be able to create complete solid models with pre-assigned part numbers. The designer will try to utilize existing parts but if they do not exist, a new part number will need to be created.
o Pride with modeling accuracy and drawing detailing is critical. This includes proper mating, constraints, and modeling consistency.
- Able to communicate realistic due dates for project completion.
- Complete 3D model with all parts pre-assigned and fully detailed in case the project needs to be reassigned.
- Prepare approval drawings in a standardized format for the customer’s review.
- Prepare piece part drawings of the entire assembly after project approval.
- Prepare accurate Bill of Materials for the project both on the drawings and in EPR system.
- Complete release sheets so projects can be released to the shop.
- Correct errors when requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Drafting or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 5+ years’ drafting/design experience.
- Previous experience with Inventor preferred.
- Previous experience with Heat Exchangers preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, manufacturing processes, and materials science.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Supervisor Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, (paint masks, respirator, when required) and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel is not required for this position.
