Part-Time Estate Planning, Elder Law & Probate Attorney
Acosta Law Firm, PLLC is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented attorney to join our client-centered practice on a part-time basis.
This position will support matters involving estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, probate, and trust administration. We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and families during important life transitions and who brings strong legal judgment, excellent drafting skills, and a warm, professional presence.
Position Details
- Part-time: approximately 20–25 hours per week

- This is a part-time position and does not include health insurance or retirement benefits
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients regarding estate planning, elder law, probate, Medicaid planning, and trust administration matters
- Draft and review estate-planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, deeds, and related documents
- Assist with probate and trust-administration matters
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, financial advisors, care providers, and other professionals
- Maintain organized files, meet deadlines, and provide thoughtful legal analysis
- Work collaboratively with the firm’s attorney and staff to provide an exceptional client experience
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active law license and good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction; Michigan licensure is preferred but not required
- Experience in estate planning, probate, elder law, Medicaid planning, or trust administration is preferred
- Strong drafting, writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive legal team
The attorney will work under the supervision of Michigan-licensed counsel, with responsibilities tailored to the candidate’s licensure and experience.
