As a medical receptionist you will be the first point of contact for all patients. You will serve as a vital link, coordinating communication between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers. AxisPro Physical Therapy, LLC is a multi-specialty therapy clinic offering physical, occupational, and lymphedema therapies. We are currently looking for an additional medical receptionist to join our team. Because we are expanding quickly, we provide a great deal of opportunity for growth within the company while enjoying an excellent work environment where everyone gets along.
This position is full-time, Monday-Friday; shifts varying between the office hours of 8 AM-6 PM. No nights or weekends, and major holidays off. We are looking for a dedicated, committed team player. Experience in PT/OT is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone with at least a year, or more, experience as a healthcare receptionist.
Responsibilities Include:
- Warmly greet and check-in patients, creating a positive and welcoming first impression.
- Accurately schedule, coordinate, and confirm patient appointments.
- Answering telephones and routing faxes
- Collect and process co-pays and other patient payments with accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Serve as a resource for patient questions regarding appointments, procedures, and insurance.
- Ensure patient privacy and adherence to all HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a medical receptionist
- Proven experience in a medical office, hospital, or other healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in an understandable way.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and multi-line phone systems. (required)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD codes.
- A genuine and caring attitude toward patients, especially those who may be anxious or in pain.
- A collaborative spirit and a professional demeanor when working with all staff members.
