Clear Sky Resorts is seeking an experienced, creative, and hands-on Executive Chef to lead culinary operations in one of the most unique hospitality environments in the country. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in remote destinations, loves the outdoors, and is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences through food, leadership, and innovation.
Our resorts are located in breathtaking natural settings, and we are looking for a chef who embraces adventure, values teamwork, and can deliver high-level culinary execution in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen and culinary operations for the resort
- Develop seasonal menus and elevate guest dining experiences
- Manage food quality, presentation, consistency, and sanitation standards
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff
- Control food and labor costs while maintaining high culinary standards
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations
- Collaborate with resort leadership to create memorable guest experiences and special events
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture in the kitchen
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Executive Chef role
- Minimum 2 years of full-service culinary training or equivalent high-volume hospitality culinary experience
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience in resorts, boutique hospitality, or destination properties preferred
- Ability to thrive in remote environments and adapt to seasonal operations
- Passion for hospitality, food innovation, and guest satisfaction
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must enjoy remote locations, outdoor adventure, and nature-driven hospitality experiences
