We are looking for an individual who has previous experience working as a medical receptionist, checking in patients and scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate will be familiar with ECW and demonstrate excellent customer service skills with patients and other staff through a variety of communication platforms.
Must be self-motivated, dependable, organized, and must possess a strong ability to multitask. Must possess adequate computer skills with the ability to efficiently navigate/utilize electronic medical records. Bilingual a plus.
Shift schedule: Mon-Thurs, 7:45-4:45p most days (occasionally 8-5p), and Fri 7:45-12p.
Main duties include:

Greet all patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Check patients in promptly and accurately in a fast-paced medical setting.

Collect payments from the patient for their balance due, co-payments and/or coinsurance.

Ensure information is updated and accurately recorded in patient medical record at each visit (checking ID and insurance).

Must have at least one year of experience and knowledge of different types of insurance benefits/referrals/authorizations.

Scanning/indexing documents.

Managing multiple doctors’ schedules.

Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Must be detail-oriented, excel at staying organized, and manages down time efficiently.

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Enjoys working with patients and diffuses situations by providing excellent customer service.

Must have working knowledge of balancing daily batches of payments and cash drawer balancing.

Possesses the ability to take directives from various levels of staff and assume responsibility for assignments.

Eager to assist across other departments and perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience Requirements:

One year of experience working in a physician's office or clinic performing front desk/check in responsibilities.

Must have experience working with different types of insurance plans - Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, etc.

One year of experience in EMR (eCW preferred).
