We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Preschool Lead Teacher to help children grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically through engaging learning experiences and intentional care.

The Flipside Church exists to build lifelong community through Christ-centered teaching and intentional environments. Our Preschool and Kids Ministry teams create engaging, Bible-based experiences that help children and families grow in their relationship with Jesus and one another.
Position Summary
The Preschool Lead Teacher provides leadership, instruction, and care within the classroom while fostering a positive and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This individual will collaborate closely with staff and families to support each child’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom & Curriculum
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with California Preschool Learning Foundations
- Lead engaging activities including centers, small groups, music, movement, games, and storytelling
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development
- Observe and document children’s progress
- Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
- Lead chapel experiences up to twice monthly
Classroom Management & Care
- Provide active supervision of children at all times
- Guide positive behavior using respectful and age-appropriate strategies
- Meet children’s personal care needs, including toileting and diapering
- Maintain compliance with California Title 22 licensing regulations and school policies
- Communicate professionally with families regarding student progress and needs
Team & School Support
- Collaborate with teaching staff and provide guidance to assistant teachers
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, devotionals, and school events
- Complete required documentation and administrative tasks
- Maintain current licensing requirements and certifications
Qualifications
- Meet California Title 22 requirements for a qualified Preschool Teacher
- Minimum 12 ECE units, including core early childhood education courses
- Previous preschool or childcare experience preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- CPR certification, Mandated Reporter Training, background clearance, TB test, and immunizations required
- Authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, lift, and carry children as needed, including occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
