Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Certified Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and a love of learning among toddlers. Your expertise in Montessori principles will guide your approach to curriculum development, classroom management, and individualized child care. Responsibilities
- Design and implement Montessori-based curriculum tailored specifically for toddlers, emphasizing hands-on learning and exploration.
- Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes emotional security and encourages children’s natural curiosity.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including lesson planning, circle time, play activities, and transitions to support developmental milestones.
- Observe and assess individual children’s progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs such as special education or early intervention requirements.
- Support social-emotional development by guiding positive behavior management techniques and promoting respectful interactions among children.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers through regular communication about children’s growth, milestones, and any concerns related to childhood development or child welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s activities, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with licensing standards and best practices in childcare.
Requirements
- Valid Montessori certification for Toddler Education from an accredited program.
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood settings or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math concepts, and classroom management strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities aligned with Montessori methodology.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies tailored for toddlers.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating flexibility and patience in a dynamic environment.
