Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is a hands-on position responsible for working on daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. The position ensures efficient material flow, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Put Away and Retrieve Stock
- Pick Orders and stage on Dock
- Operate Forklift and Hand Trucks
- Provide Customer Service at Service Desk
- Learn UPS Machine and handle orders, as necessary
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct cycle counts
- Work with Office and Sales Staff
- Additional General Shipping / Receiving duties, as necessary
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent lifting of 50-60 lbs.
- Occasional heavier lifting using mechanical equipment or team lifting
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling
- Regular use of hands and arms to move and position materials
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Work in warehouse/manufacturing environment with varying conditions
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses and hearing protection
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- CDL Class A or B license preferred but not required; for ability to support driver coverage
- 3+ years of warehouse, shipping & receiving, or inventory experience
