Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented CNC Machinist to operate and maintain computer-numerically-controlled (CNC) machinery safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be able to set up and operate CNC machines to make high-quality precision parts in accordance with technical drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce components to exact specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure conformity to specifications using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including setup sheets and inspection records.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification or CNC training, along with experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment, is a plus.
- Able to read technical drawings and using precision measuring tools.
- Understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with machining a variety of metals, including steel and aluminum.
Helpful Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Haas or Fanuc controls.
- Experience using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
