We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Turret Driver to join our dynamic warehouse operations team. The Turret Driver will be responsible for operating specialized heavy equipment, including turret trucks and reach trucks, to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse distribution center. We have both shifts available
Duties
- Operate turret trucks, reach trucks, sit down , and other heavy equipment to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Manage order picking processes using appropriate equipment such as pickers and pallet jacks to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, updating inventory records in warehouse management systems, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Handle materials with care during movement, stacking pallets securely, and managing heavy lifting tasks according to OSHA standards.
- Support warehouse management by organizing storage areas, maintaining accurate stock levels, and facilitating efficient materials handling.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations, prioritize tasks, and improve workflow processes.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as turret trucks, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar machinery within a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations, order picking, and materials handling is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and heavy equipment use.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including load & unload procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to inventory counts and measurements.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and operational efficiency.
