Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service during their dining experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with confidence and accuracy, practicing proper cash handling procedures
- Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as needed
- Assist with bussing tables, running food and providing great customer service
- Communicate effectively with customers using phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance
- Support team members by supervising or mentoring new cashiers when required, fostering a cooperative work environment
Things that are helpful:
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or counter-style restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions confidently
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a bilingual setting is a plus (English, Spanish and/or Korean is helpful!)
- Experience in cashiering, cash handling, and retail math is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bussing tables, and running food
- Knowledge of restaurant operations or retail sales transactions is beneficial
- Demonstrated phone etiquette skills and the ability to upsell products effectively
