Paid warehouse Ops are available through Veryable with a local beverage distribution Business in Lake Charles.
Operators use the Veryable app to review available Ops and submit Bids for opportunities that match their skills and availability. There is no fixed weekly schedule or minimum Op commitment.
Op availability varies. Submitting a Bid does not guarantee acceptance; the Business reviews the Bids received and selects the Operators needed for each Op.
Op Schedule
- Day Ops currently begin around 5:00 AM.
- Each Op includes approximately 8 paid hours.
- A 45-minute unpaid break is included.
- Operators may Bid on one Op or several available Ops throughout the week.
- There is no fixed weekly schedule or minimum commitment.
- Review the complete schedule before submitting a Bid because Op times and availability may change.
What You Will Do
Operators will pick customer orders using a voice-directed headset and rider electric pallet jack. The headset provides the product, warehouse location, and required quantity for each pick.
Responsibilities may include:
- Picking customer orders using the voice-pick system.
- Operating a rider electric pallet jack.
- Building and stacking pallets accurately and efficiently.
- Shrink-wrapping completed pallets.
- Restacking fallen products.
- Identifying and removing damaged products.
- Keeping the work area clean and free of debris.
- Following all Business safety, quality, and PPE requirements.
Accuracy is the top performance expectation. Customer orders must contain the correct product and quantity; Operators should prioritize accurate picking over speed.
Operator Requirements
- Steel-toed boots are required; Operators must bring their own.
- A high-visibility vest is required.
- Rider electric pallet jack experience is preferred.
- Previous voice-pick experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the Op.
- Ability to follow voice-pick instructions accurately.
- Smartphone with access to the Veryable Operator app.
- Reliable transportation to the Op location.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be eligible to complete Ops as a 1099 independent contractor.
- Must arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for the first Op.
- Must review and follow all dress-code and PPE requirements listed in the Op details.
Hands-on instruction for the voice-pick system is provided during the first Op.
How to Get Started
- Download the free Veryable Operator app.
- Create and complete your Operator profile.
- Open the app menu and select Pre-Reqs.
- Submit the required background check.
- Select your payout method.
- Complete and submit the required tax form.
- Complete the Operator onboarding quiz.
- Once your profile and Pre-Reqs are approved, review available Lake Charles Ops and submit a Bid.
Your profile and required Pre-Reqs must be completed and approved before you can Bid on available Ops.
Payout Information
Payout is generally received the day after a completed Op when using Branch Direct or Branch Wallet. Operators must check in through the Veryable app upon arrival and check out before leaving so their completed time is recorded correctly.
