We're looking for fellow vegans, vegetarians, and people transitioning to plant-based eating to join our dedicated team in Mesa, Arizona. LeafSide is a growing company, offering innovative 100% whole-food plant-based (WFPB) meal packs. Our mission is to make healthy, nutritionally-optimal, whole-food plant-based eating so easy and enjoyable, that it becomes a societal norm.
This is a working lead role: roughly 80% hands-on picking, packing, and shipping individual D2C orders yourself, 20% training & leading a couple of teammates, as well as keeping the area running smoothly and accurately.
It's a natural step up for a sharp, hands-on shipper. Someone who has proven their speed, accuracy, and client-centric sense of responsibility — ready to own the fulfillment flow and bring teammates up to their high standard.
Salary & Benefits
- This is a non-customer-facing, full-time role on a predictable schedule, Monday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime may be required on occasion.
- Pay is $22.00 per hour.
- Total Time Off per year is up to 4 weeks (8 paid holidays, 5 sick days, and 10 vacation days) with sick and vacation time usable interchangeably, and accrued per fully employed pay period.

About the Role
We're looking for a detail-obsessed, tech-ready Shipping Lead who thrives on physical flow and operational precision, along with the daily opportunity to surprise and delight clients. You'll be the calm at the center of our fast-moving shipping area — keeping individual client orders flowing out accurately and on time, and keeping a small team energized and focused. You'll pack and audit right alongside them, holding our benchmark of 99%+ order accuracy without sacrificing speed. What You’ll Do
- Run the Workspace Flow: Participate in and oversee the daily pick, pack, and ship of client orders while keeping the area clean and super-organized.
- Protect Data Integrity: Keep our spreadsheets accurately updated. We don't need an Excel wizard, but you should know when a number looks off, readily enter inventory counts, and navigate rows/columns without disrupting formulas.
- Guard Quality: As the last eyes and hands on every order, you’ll carefully ensure only the best reaches our clients, on time and sparking delight!
- Isolate Exceptions Immediately: Pull flagged or problem orders away from clean ones the moment they appear, so mistakes never reach a client.
- Maintain Shipping Platforms: Oversee and coordinate workflows within ShipStation, ensuring carrier handouts (FedEx and USPS) match our system data perfectly before cutoffs. Work directly with carrier account reps, representing our interests effectively.
- Improve the Process: Spot the small things others miss, catch recurring errors, and tighten the workflow so the same mistake doesn't happen twice.
- Lead by Example: Train, coach, and support a dedicated team to maintain high quality-control and throughput standards.
Who You Are
- Parcel-Proven: At least one year personally picking, packing, and shipping individual direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce orders — not pallet, LTL, or distribution-center shipping.
- Tech-Ready: Hands-on with ShipStation (or a similar e-commerce shipping platform) and ready to use spreadsheets to track and understand data.
- Detail-Obsessed: You notice the small things others miss — shipping, quality, or data — and stay calm & focused at a fast pace.
- Physically Ready: Able to lift up to 60 lbs and stay on your feet through a full shift.
