- Ensure compliance with established accounting policies while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
- Own monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Prepare month-end close journal entries
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statement packages
- Partner with department leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Analyze financial results and identify trends
- Maintain accuracy of the fixed asset system, including reconciliation to the general ledger and monthly depreciation entries
- Provide support and guidance for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, as needed
- Assist with external audits
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Five years of hands-on experience in a Senior Accountant role
- Strong technical proficiency, capable of managing accounting processes independently in the absence of the Controller
- Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar accounting software
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a strong, consistent employment history without major gaps
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset with a curiosity to learn internal processes and improve workflows
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing or cost accounting exposure
- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience supporting audits, budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis
- Experience providing guidance or support to accounting staff
