Responsibilities
- Perform detailed data entry and maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Reconcile accounts on the general ledger, balance sheet, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure consistency and correctness.
- Prepare journal entries and oversee double-entry bookkeeping processes to uphold GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards.
- Manage payroll processing using systems like ADP, while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll management best practices.
- Conduct financial analysis including account analysis, account reconciliation, and review of financial statements to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support tax preparation efforts by organizing relevant documentation and maintaining meticulous records for audits or reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams on internal controls, audit procedures, and process improvements to enhance overall financial integrity.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting software tools such as QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated expertise in general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable management, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex along with payroll management procedures.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret financial data clearly and communicate findings effectively within a team environment.
