Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Van Driver to safely transport our residents to and from medical appointments, and approved outings. This role is essential in ensuring our residents arrive on time, comfortable, and cared for throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, dialysis, therapy sessions, and other scheduled destinations
- Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair securement when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all times
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and facility policies
- Communicate clearly with nursing staff regarding schedules, delays, or resident needs
- Provide courteous, respectful, and patient-centered service to all residents and families
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous driving or transportation experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
- Ability to assist residents with mobility needs
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism
- Friendly demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
