Duties
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting regular stock checks using RF scanners and warehouse equipment
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and load & unload shipments efficiently and safely
- Conduct shipping & receiving tasks, including verifying deliveries, processing shipments, and maintaining accurate records
- Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays, packaging products, and ensuring the store layout is appealing and accessible
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to uphold store safety standards and cleanliness
- Handle cashiering duties including processing transactions accurately using retail math principles and maintaining excellent communication with customers
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse or retail experience preferred; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking or unloading activities
- Strong communication skills in multiple languages are advantageous; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Experience operating RF scanners, pallet jacks, or forklifts (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, produce handling, or retail sales techniques is beneficial
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and stock management
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety standards
